Tricks for decorating small spaces

I really liked this article roundup from domino. We currently live in a tiny rowhouse, affectionately refered to as "our little sardine can," so I'm always looking for spacing-saving ideas to help with organization and layout.

"Oversized baskets serve as attractive, versatile, and portable work stations—perfect for space tha
t has to multitask."

"Organization is key.
Stow out-of-season clothing, files, and other things you don't need every day in numbered boxes. A master list decoding the numbers guarantees you'll be able to find what you need."

"The
key to maximizing miniscule rooms? Use every inch of storage space, even above doorways."

"A breezy tent helps demarcate the space—making this desk feel monumental—and creates the illusion of space (and of a window)."

"Hanging pots and pans on a rack saves counter and shelf space in a tiny kitchen."

"Use low walls or banquettes to create "rooms" without bisecting the space."
